The Chinese Lives of Uli Sigg
with Uli Sigg and Michael Schindhelm
during Gallery Weekend Berlin
We were delighted to have a short presentation and preview of Michael Schindhelm’s movie “The Chinese Lives of Uli Sigg”, before it is premiered in Berlin on 30th of April 2017.
Uli Sigg has built one of the most significant collections of contemporary Chinese art, including some 2,300 works. He then in 2012 passed on 1500 works in a donation/sales agreement to the M+ Museum in Hong Kong now under construction. Prior to starting to collect Chinese contemporary art, Uli Sigg was already a collector of Western art.
After the presentation of the film, Uli Sigg and Michael Schindhelm, director, will discuss the movie and the pioneering role Uli Sigg has played in building a contemporary Chinese art collection. The discussion will be moderated by Roya Nasser, partner at Brunswick Arts.
